Following the award of their first £1, million pound order back in March 2011, Coach 16 and 17 left Dale Works bound, for Snowdon.
It will join the already delivered coach 14, one more to go… or is there! Prior to the opening Date of 16th March these coaches will go through rigorous commissioning procedures.
Thankfully, after the testing, the launch and maiden voyage went well with smooth running and a comfortable ride for all. This is a little different to the calamity that befell the railway on its initial opening back in 1896,
‘’The building of new carriages at Snowdon Mountain Railway is a once per century event, and we are confident that our partnership with Garmendale Engineering Limited has delivered the best possible outcome for our railway and its future’’
