Already we are somehow nearly 3 months in to 2025. What a start to the year it has been for Garmendale Engineering, refurbishments with a few of our favourite clients, exciting projects we aren’t allowed to talk about yet, and continuing to work with the finest theme parks in the world. One of the most popular inquiries we receive continues to involve our RG-11 gating systems. The fully modifiable gating systems are able to meet any client specifications, whether they are superficial or to meet specialist safety requirements. In the past we have adjusted our design to allow for creative integration into the ride for example Warner Brothers Studios Yas Island has a selection of gating systems matching the ride they are adorning. For example the electric gating systems paired with the Looney Tunes rides are colourful and in a playful design whereas the RG-11 E gating systems in Gotham City matched the dreary and crime ridden world of Batman. As an alternative to the standard RG-11 gates we offer an electric alternative (Pictured Below).
During COVID a world-class theme park client enquired about a very unique twist on the RG-11 gating system for the Jurassic World themed coaster, the Velocicoaster. For the first time ever our RG-11 gates were built with a glass in-fill still meeting the American safety regulations.
This year our RG-11 family has expanded again with 2 more gating systems completed and installed to some of the most exciting rides in the world. We are honoured to have our latest RG-11 gates keeping visitors safe at one of the most prestigious theme parks in America. Offering safety, efficiency, and high throughput for all guests, this particular gating system was installed onto one of the world’s tallest and fastest coasters. The 2nd set of RG-11 gates we can mention are currently residing in Asia at one of the continents most popular theme parks. With RG-11 gates on 4 different continents, our gates are nearly as hair-raising as the coasters they accompany.
