Summer is well and truly on the way with Theme Parks and other attractions in full preparation for the holiday season. Garmendale have been extremely busy over the last few months with refurbishments and exciting new projects. However not all of these exciting developments revolve around theme parks. Occasionally Garmendale have the great pleasure of working with some of Britain’s more prestigious and beautiful establishments. Hidden in the lush green of North Yorkshire lies Newby Hall and its extensive gardens. Over the last few months Garmendale have worked closely with the team at Newby Hall to revive one of their crowd-pleasing attractions.

A charming family day out complete with beautiful walks, miniature train rides, and stunning dining. Newby Hall, steeped in history has also appeared in one of the country’s most popular tv shows, Peaky Blinders. Tommy Shelby walked these hallowed halls but what does any of this have to do with Garmendale?

As well as having beautiful gardens, hidden amongst the trees is a tranquil boating lake complete with pedalo boats. Due to routine wear and tear it was time to replace the original boats. Newby Hall approached Garmendale with the task of replicating the current system. However, in true Garmendale style we didn’t replicate the entire pedalo system. Instead we re-engineered the mechanical side of the hand propelled pedalos; making them easier to operate and use whilst ensuring longevity. Garmendale’s updated design also ensures ease for part replacements and regular repairs.IMG 6123 800x1067

The new fleet of pedalo boats are ready to go and due for delivery over the next few weeks, with more boats to come later this year. Ensuring families will be bobbing along this Summer.
